Connect with FlightSQL

tutorialpreview
TL;DR

FlightSQL returns Arrow batches for SQL queries and metadata discovery. Use it only as a preview within a trusted deployment, with the endpoint and TLS settings supplied by your administrator. Writes, prepared statements and cross-tenant isolation guarantees remain outside the supported contract; use PGWire for the documented write workflow.

Read preview only: implemented write handlers are not a qualified public write contract.

Use the FlightSQL host, port, TLS roots, and token supplied by your deployment. The default port is configurable; do not infer it from the PGWire endpoint.

Use a FlightSQL client such as the Apache Arrow ADBC Flight SQL driver. Configure the TLS endpoint, trusted CA and authorization header through the driver’s connection options. Do not disable certificate verification or embed credentials in SQL.

Start with SELECT 1 to check connectivity, then query an authorized table. A connectivity check does not establish tenant isolation or visibility of recent streaming rows. Test the driver version and query workflow against your server release before use.

Read the FlightSQL reference before using this preview. Use PGWire for the documented write workflow.
